Nashville SuperSpeedway, Lebanon, TN

Over 2000 teams and over $200, 000 was raised for this special Day !!!

Our Family and Friends gave it all by walking around the speedway 3 times which was 1.33 miles long.

I created our Team T-Shirts using the Digi-Scrap Now for Autism kit that was donated from designers all over the world.

some beautiful word art & poetry about autism. It has been a joy to
organize this work & it is my prayer that through this project we can help
to raise some money but also help document journeys & preserve

That is the date of today, the day I got the news. Some of you know and some of you do not know but we had McKayla evaluated for Autism. She has always reached all her milestones and some of them early but somewhere between the time of 15-18 mths she started to stop communicating back to us. We have got her hearing tested and that came back normal, so I just thought well maybe she is just going thru a "phase". Its not like she does not talk at all b/c she says words but she can not conversate with you. She can not tell you what she wants or feels. Instead she screams and throws her body on the floor or up against the wall. Sometimes it lasts for hours and sometimes just 10 min. Taking her to public places were there are crowds is IMPOSSIBLE. There are many other things but I can write a book on what we go through. So we have been waiting to hear back from the doctor that did the evaluation to talk with a specialist at Vanderbilt and to contact my pediatrition. Today she called and we now know she has Autism Spectrum Disorder. McKayla is such a WONDERFUL little girl, she is so loving... There is NO cure, or anything for sure with Autism but there is hope. They have had great outcomes with therapy's so that is were we are going to start. I am writting this email so I can inform you all and so you know if you see us and McKayla is having a melt down that NO I will not be spanking her... its not that she is being bad but she is Autistic and she is trying to express herself and just cant figure out how.... Hi all it's been along time since I have been on and life has taken me by the hand and keep me busy so with that said. I want to say hi and hope you all have been doing fine.

I have time to think about the ones that I want to work with on CT Teams and right now I am working with Sandra Adamson, Shelle Pukas, Bobbie Mckeefry, Julie Major, and the CT Member of the store for Scrappinfreestlye.

I have taken on the job to be the advertiser for Sandra Adamson aka SeaScrAps at Scrappinfreestlye. Sandra is a fun and exciting person to work with and has become a great online friend. Well I know it's been along time since I posted here and I wanted to thank every Designer that has let me be on their CT team. I have gone back to work and working my tail off in this 103 degree weather and don't have alot of time to play with everyone's designs so I am resigning from all. It has been an honour to work with Vickey Morrissey, Stephanie Ogren, Brazilian Blend Digital Designs, Thank you again for letting me work with you and your team.

I have been pushing my photography business alittle bit more and started doing that in my spare time and I have a friend that wants me to work with her and sell quickpages with her on her site. I have thought about this for a couple of weeks now and I have accepted her offer. It's all something new to me and I will be working for her and doing crops and selling Quickpages, Bragbook pages, Album both 12x12 and mini. The kit has some great colors for some spring pictures but when I got this one.....My GB got sick and we had to take her to the ER and they ended up putting an IV in her little arm and she didn't care for it at all. They say she had some kind of virus and she dehydrated and ended up staying sick like this for a whole week. She lost alot of weight but she is getting back to running and being herself again.

I am a CT Team member for Betty Jo Martin and she sells at Kathrynbalint.com. The desingers there got together and put together a wonderful kit called Noah Ark 2 by 2. I used it to scrap some of my pictures that we took while going to the zoo. Funny thing about this.....is that I took my tripod with me so I could get a picture of me with the kids and wouldn't have to worry about asking someone to take it for me. I just don't want anyone holding my Camera. LOL

Kids thought I had lost my mind.....LOL

I'm Back

ok.....been missing for awhile but I am back and I got lots to share with you so enjoy what will be coming up. We are having a very cold day today. It's been in the 50's for our Winter days but last nite it got down to 13 and there is no School. It's not because of the weather it's because so many kids are sick. So today my Boy is at home with me......but I will be lucky to see him. Because just like a teenager.......no school.....stay up all nite and sleep all day. LOL

I went and got a new addition to my camera this past weekend and I am so excited about the new lens. Yep more picture taking. I went and got a 50mm f1.4 for my Nikon D50 so I can take some portrait pictures.

As you can tell in the above photo it focuses in the middle while blurring around the edges with just a press of the shutter button. Yeah.......make my life easier.....LOL........will be doing some more practicing with it so we will see if it was worth buying. Ok........now lets get busy with all the stuff I have been scrapping.

We decorate our pine tree that is at the corner of our yard every year. This year my GB got to help me and she had so much fun putting the big decorations on it that it really brought the meaning to christmas to my house this year.
